Monday Thoughts
It’s been about four months since I last wrote about my 2015 lessons and 2016 resolutions, and it’s been four months into the New Year and trying my best to work on my resolutions. How are your resolutions coming along? Remember in this very hectic life to make some time for yourself, friends, and family. Find time to read that book you’ve always wanted to read, to talk to that friend you haven’t talked in a while, just like Ferris Bueller said “ Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop once in a while, you could miss it.” So I encourage you to make that time for things that matter, for the people that matter. You don’t know how many young people I talk to like myself, that between the hustle and bustle of their 9-5 jobs, errands, and things they need to take care of. They can’t seem to find the time for themselves or for friends, but remember that life moves pretty fast, so find that time and let it be. I also want to encourage you to keep looking for whatever is that makes you happy like I said back in the resolution post. No one said you need to be married by this age, have kids by this age, and have a house by this age. There is no rush, life is not a set line of milestones. It is ok to deviate, to not marry by this age, to not have kids and a house by this age. That’s all ok… it’s ok to look and search for whatever is that makes YOU happy.
