Wine Tasting in South Florida
The weekend is quickly approaching so I wanted to share this post with you all. In case you are not quite sure what to do this weekend, you can take a drive to Homestead (yes a bit far but worth a visit) where you will find the Southern most winery in South Florida, more like the only winery in South Florida.
Schnebly Winery is popular for its fruity wines and avocado competition. Some of the things you can do at the winery include wine tasting where you will get to try 5 of their wine selections, they also have a beer tasting. The craft beer tasting includes a taste of our 4 flagship beers, a full pint of your favorite beer and also included in the price is the pint glass itself which is yours to take as a souvenir. If you decide to do the wine tasting you get to keep the wine glasses as a little reminder from Schnebly Winery . You can also take a tour of the winery. The tour is only done on the weekends and it takes about 30 minutes. On the weekends, they have live music. You can buy a bottle of wine and some snacks or bring your own snacks, sit, listen to the music, and enjoy their patios. If you are planning a private event they do a lot of those. Schnebly is part of the Redland trail so you can consider a visit to other sites in the trail. Some other items in the Historic Redland Tropical Trail include: R.F Orchids (if you enjoy orchids), the Coral Castle, The bonsai Garden, Robert is here fruit stand, Tropical Everglades Visitor Center, and many others. I know my next visit will definitely be to Robert is here fruit stand! I hear you can get one of the best fresh fruit milkshakes here! Anyone else have any other recommendations in the South Florida area?
